Background

SUH was formed in 1990 by purchasing the WN keyboard technology from Honeywell. SUH manufactured this keyboard for several OEM's and many distributors.

In 1994 SUH released its first original designed keyboard and promptly sold the entire production capability to one major OEM customer. In 1996 SUH has released two new keyboards in addition to updating the product line to include the new Windows 95 keys on all keyboards.

In July of 1996 SUH moved into a new state of the art manufacturing facility, in order to position itself to meet the volume demands expected in the future. This new facility is capable of an immediate capacity of over 500,000 keyboards per month and has expansion room to double that capacity.

Company vision

The SUH vision is to be known world wide for reliability, flexibility, responsiveness, and innovative products and services.

Because of the good value that our customers will receive from our products, the growth, longevity and success of SUH will be assured.

Manufacturing Capability

SUH now has 4 Keyboard assembly lines. These lines provide the capacity to assemble 300,000 keyboards per month. These additional lines are planned which will provide a total capacity of over 500,000 keyboards per month.

The printing of the graphics on the keytops is accomplished by either laser engraving or using the sublimation process. Both methods produce extremely durable characters on the keytops.

All keyboards undergo functional testing of every key to determine if they produce the proper electrical signals. This testing is performed by using an automatic functional tester, which depresses each key.

All Plastic molded parts are made in a state of the art injection molding facility located adjacent to the final assembly lines. In-house plastic molding facilitates just in time delivery of the many plastic parts required to build keyboards.

Product Design and Testing

SUH is able to provide custom designs for its customers due to the presence of its excellent design staff, which is on site. All design work is done on state of the art CAD workstations. The on site model and tool shop is used to build prototypes and spare parts.

The well-equipped development laboratory facilitates the development of new products as well as providing engineering support for existing products.

Automated Force VS Displacement Test
QA Metrology Lab

Development tools such as the automated force and displacement testers facilitate the development of new keyboards as well as supporting existing products. These tools assure that the excellent touch and feel for which our keyboards are noted is maintained.

All new design must undergo a life test to assure that they meet the life requirements of the keyboard specifications. Periodically, existing designs are reevaluated to assure that the components still meet the life cycle specifications for the keyboards.

Quality Assurance

Incoming material is audited to assure that it meets the rigid quality requirement for use in the SUH keyboards.

Quality meeting are held frequently to assure that appropriate quality control measures are being carried out to ensure that the outgoing quality level of the keyboards meet requirement. SUH measures appropriate critical to function parameters to assure that all remain within predetermined limits.

All operators are trained and certified prior to being placed on their production stations. Recertification of all operators is performed on a periodic basis.

All keyboards are audited prior to being shipped in order to insure that quality level being shipped to our customers is maintained.

Shipping and Storage

SUH has extensive experience in shipping its products all over the world. Expedited shipments can be arranged were necessary. Shipping cost and lead-time is minimized because of this extensive experience.

SUH has very spacious warehouse facilities. This space facilitates the efficient handling of shipments for our many customers. It also allows us to provide special services such as maintaining a buffer stock for our customers.
