Three
power management keys on 107 keys Win98 keyboard are not
working properly. |
There
are several scenarios that may cause these buttons do
not work. Below are most common found.
1.
The keyboard is used with the old PC (Pentium and below
(486, 386, etc.), most of them do not support Power
Management feature in BIOS which is required.
2.
The keyboard is used with new PC (Celeron, Pentium III,
etc.), but the Power Management feature is disabled
in BIOS setting.
3.
The Operating system is Windows 95 or below.
If
your desktop is not following any of the above, please
check at Control Panel--System--Device Manager and under
System Device. You should see the power management devices
(ex. ACPI system button, Power Management Controller,
and Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI)
BIOS), otherwise these buttons do not work. The safest
way you can try to make these devices installed is reinstalling
Windows with command "setup /pj"
Note:
Some mainboards with Windows98, these buttons do not
work like they are intended to. For example, the computer
may go to sleep mode by hitting Sleep or Power button.
For the new PC with new Operating system (Windows Me
and above), these buttons (power, sleep, and wake) will
work perfectly.

Why
can't I type Thai characters in my Thai-U.S keyboard? |
You
need Windows98 Thai version to type Thai character.
Normally, if your operation system is a Thai version,
it is sure that you can do. But in case of your operation
system only supports English or other languages, it
will not allow you to type Thai.
